Thought for the Day II

"While the wicked are tearing at our country and the things of God, what can you do to make the world a better and a safer place to live?

APray without ceasing.@  1 Thessalonians 5:17  Keep God on your mind.  Talk to Him about……..everything.  You know prayer isn’t always asking for something.  This kind of “pray without ceasing” is who you are, where you are, with what you have to work with; nothing missing.

“Draw nigh to God@ James 4:8  Have you already gotten as close to Christ as possible?  No!  Even when you are as close as you can get, God says to you, come closer and then come closer still.  Don’t be afraid to draw nigh to God.

AThe LORD our God is one LORD. " V5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  V6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  V7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.@ Deuteronomy 6:4b-7.

Does it really matter what you believe?  I urge each of you to respond to this question with an emphatic YES.  God Thinking teaches you to believe what God says and to live your life as if you believe it.  When you see God in your circumstances, through your circumstances and beyond your circumstances - When you see God behind you, in you and ahead of you, all the evil in the world won’t move you.  I agree with King David when he said, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?”
