"He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?" John 21:16a
I now that Jesus has come to you and asked you the same question. What do you say when Jesus confronts you with this question? I just want to mention that lip service never got Jesus's attention and lip service isn't the Christian way of our modern times. Jesus was looking fo an answe of action on the part of Peter and he is looking for an answer of action from us also.
Peter said unto Jesus, "...Lord; thou knowest that I love thee...", but Jesus went on to ask Peter a third time. It's not good enough to tell Jesus or anyone else for that matter that you love them if it is not backed up with actions that accompany your words. There are people around you that are counting on you being there for them with more than lip service.
Re-evaluate your current condition and make a decision to reveal your love in actions that produce joy and peace of mind in the hearts of others.
