"As a Hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God." Psalm 42:1
"When you are parched from the hardness of daily life, there is a place to cool off; at the foot of Jesus. I get weary, everyone does, if not from the daily hustle bustle then from the difficulties, stress, strain or pain of life. In these dry times God wants us to look to Him for comfort. God wants you to come to the well of life and drink. At the well, the water is cool, the day is pleasant and the night is safe.
Is your heart heavy with burdens? Are you full of stress and angst? God has prepared a place for you to cool off and relax. Before you became worrisome, God already prepared a way out. Look for the open doors that God has available. The biggest door and the largest door of all is the door of obedience. Inside that door there are worlds of opportunity and expanses that you just can't see from the outside.
Hasn't the world had enough of your time? Can you imagine how things would be if you had given to God as much of yourself as you have given to the world? You know, even though you may have thrown your life away, God will take you in as if you had been doing it right all along. God will take you in today. God will not hold to your charge the past. You can enter in and drink from the well of life right now. No one inside the door of obedience got there on their own. No one worked their way in or earned it. It has been freely offered to all and those who take the free gift get in. No one has advantage over you and there are no real door keepers. You simply walk in and all that is within is yours, the same as if you had walked in twenty or thirty years ago.
Why would anyone turn down an offer like this?
