Daily Devotional June 8 - You are on a mission

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;"  2 Corinthians 5:17-18

I know that this is a familiar verse for many. I want you to see the implication of, "And all things are of God." When you are born again, you are introduced to the spiritual leadership of the indwelling Holy Spirit. All things become new, in that, before you were born again you did not have the voice of the indwelling Spirit of God and therefore you made decisions based upon your own carnal nature and the thoughts and ideas that you developed while not under the direct, personal influence of God.

All things are become new, in that, now you do have the indwelling Holy Spirit and what ever comes to you in life does include the influence of the Holy Spirit, thus changing what was to be (without the influence or direction from God) to what is with the influence of the Holy Spirit.

"All things are of God" simply means that nothing comes your way that God is not currently and actively involved in. To what degree of involvement you allow the Holy Spirit will always be in your control, in that, all of God is always available all the time, but all of you does not allow all of God to have all the pre-eminence all the time. The more time and communication you have with God, the more in touch you will be in co-creating what will be in your life and those around you.

God has reconciled Himself to us. In other words, God removed any and all barriers that might have kept you from a completely open and uninterrupted line of communication with God. He did that through Christ. Now that you have been thoroughly reconciled to God in every way for every sin for all eternity, you have been given the directive to offer this ministry to others. No being except human beings can benefit from the ministry of reconciliation that you have been given. No person except you can provide the ministry of reconciliation (that you received) to those in your sphere of influence. Yes, God has many, even people you know, working His purpose, but you have received a specific ability/testimony due to your set of circumstances that God brought you through to offer what others around you have not experienced.

Can you imagine that God trusts you enough to offer to others what God offered to you?
